Sorry for the delay. Saw a great presentation on DCG today 1st hour. I'd like you to check out their website and comment on either what you think the DCG is, how you can benefit from the DCG or how the DCG's work applies to our work in Alternative Energy.

ReplyDeleteI think DCG is an outsource way for students to experience what they love to do in a society setting. For example, if one loved photography, DCG would give that person ways to practice their photography outside of a school setting and put it on the website to be seen by others. I can benefit from DCG with my creative writing. I'd like to learn more about being involved with the program so I could share my "talent" (or lack there of, it's really a personal opinion,) with more people.
ReplyDeletei like how dcg has no limitations to who can do what. being involved in that group must be a privelage because they can share there talent with in dcg if there isnt another place for them to share it. what dcg said was interesting & i'd like to hear more about what they say -MARISSA LOTT
ReplyDeleteI think its cool that all those kids really believe in what they're saying. While I'm not a member of DCG, its great that there's a place for kids who really like what they do in the creative arts to expand on whatever experiences they might have already.
ReplyDeleteThis presentation really opened up my eyes. It made me want to be in DCG. Its cool that any idea a student has, this organization is ready to push it and help you achieve it. I guess i didn't realize that our class could be a part of this. I had the opportunity to talk and i thought that our class could really help.
ReplyDeleteI think its cool that it allows kids to get ahead in the community and get more out of school experiences. People who want a career in an artistic field should be in DCG
ReplyDeleteDCG seemed like a great thing to be in to find your talents and to try new things outside of school. Posting your work on the web is a great idea to make that person feel better about their work. I liked how DCG showed that what we are doing in Alternative Energy class can be seen as creative and we are acually helping out all of DeWitt by coming up with ideas to save money and use new energy sources.

i think this is a great way for students to start getting real life experience on some stuff they might like to do in the futer lik creating websites promoting different things

ReplyDeleteletting kids do what they enjoy instead of having to take 5 math credits and what ever else the requirements are. the gpa's of every student in the school would go up, guaranteed. kids just dont pay attention because they are not interested in what they do not want to learn.
I think DCG is gonna change things for dewitt! its a really great opportunity for the students to do things for their community
ReplyDeleteI think that DCG is beneficial because of the service it does in the community, they can spread work and focus on being green and alternative energy if they desire. They're unlimited to what they want to accomplish. I think they are making good ideas they just have to put them into effect and actually benefit society in a positive way.
ReplyDeleteI think the DCG is a good idea and has good intentions but not very many students will participate in some of their activities. Its more of an artsey club and not a lot of kids are into that type of thing. They do try and be green and eco-friendly which directly relates to our class.

I feel that the DCG and our class have a lot in common because they are attempting and succeeding in what they are striving for and we are learning how we can do things differently so that we can preserve this wonderful planet we live on called home.
